Terms of Service

Last updated: April 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Root to Rise Coaching website at roottorisecoaching.ca and any coaching, workshop, or related services we provide ("Services"). By using the site or purchasing a Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase Services.

1. About us

Root to Rise Coaching is operated from Quebec, Canada. Coaching is delivered online to clients across Canada and elsewhere where appropriate.

2. Nature of the Services

Coaching is non-clinical and educational. It supports daily routines, movement, nourishment, mindset, and independence. It is not medical care, mental health therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, registered dietetic care, or a diagnostic service. See our Coaching Disclaimer for the full statement.

3. Eligibility and consent

  • You must be at least 18 years old to enter a contract with us directly.
  • A parent, caregiver, or legal guardian may contract on behalf of a minor or a person who requires support to provide informed consent.
  • You confirm that any information you provide in inquiries, intake, or sessions is true and complete to the best of your knowledge.

4. Bookings, fees, and payments

  • The introductory consultation is $35 CAD. The fee is due before the call and is processed securely through Stripe or Interac e-Transfer.
  • Coaching programs, workshops, and add-on items are listed on the Coaching page and are paid through Stripe or Interac e-Transfer. Payment plans are available for eligible offers.
  • All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes are added at checkout where required.
  • Receipts are issued by Stripe by email and are also available on request from us directly.

Refunds, rescheduling rules, late-cancellation rules, and what happens if we cancel a session are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Those rules are part of these Terms.

5. Your responsibilities during coaching

  • Tell us about any medical, physical, or mental-health conditions that affect participation, and obtain clearance from your treating professionals when appropriate.
  • Set up a safe space for online sessions, including stable internet, suitable footwear if movement is included, and adult supervision when working with a minor.
  • Treat sessions and any shared materials with respect. Do not record or share sessions without our written agreement.
  • Stop any movement or activity that causes pain or feels unsafe.

6. Acceptable use of this site

You agree not to:

  • Use forms or features to send spam, abusive content, or unlawful material.
  • Attempt to disrupt or probe the security of the site.
  • Submit information about another person without their permission.

7. Privacy

We collect and handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the site or our Services you consent to the practices described there.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and the site are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee specific outcomes or results, including physical, emotional, behavioural, or health-related outcomes. Coaching depends on many factors outside of our control, including individual effort and external circumstances.

Our total liability to you in connection with any Service or this site, in aggregate and regardless of the legal basis of the claim, is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate Services if a participant’s safety, or our own, cannot reasonably be supported, or if these Terms are seriously breached. Where appropriate we will refund any unused, prepaid portion in line with the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Quebec have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any consumer-protection rights you have to bring a claim in your local courts.

11. Updates

We may update these Terms when our services or applicable law change. The current version is the one displayed on this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to [email protected].
